Frequently asked questions

1. How many photos will I receive from my session?
The number of images delivered depends on the package you choose. For most sessions, you can expect to receive a curated selection of high-resolution images with basic editing, provided via an online link. For portrait sessions, we typically deliver 30-60 images. For commercial and adventure sessions, the number may vary based on the scope of the project.

2. Do you offer both digital and film photography?
Yes, Neon Photography Studio offers both digital and film photography. You can choose a digital-only package or enhance your session with our Film Package Add-On. We offer a variety of popular color and black-and-white film types for both 35mm and 120mm medium format, which provide a unique, artistic quality to your photos.

3. What are the differences between 35mm and 120mm medium format film?
35mm film is ideal for web use and small prints, up to about 8×10 inches. It’s versatile for everyday photography. 120mm medium format film provides a higher resolution, perfect for large prints (16×20 inches and above) and projects where fine detail is essential. Both formats are available as add-ons to your photography package.

4. Can I choose the location for my session?
Yes! We are happy to shoot at a location of your choice, whether it’s your home, an outdoor park, or an urban area in the city. We also offer adventure photography packages for remote locations and hikes. If you need suggestions, we’re happy to recommend beautiful spots in Hong Kong and beyond.

5. Do you travel for sessions?
Absolutely! Neon Photography Studio is based in Hong Kong but we can travel to locations both locally and internationally. Additional Travel fees will apply based on the location, so please inquire for more details.

6. What kind of editing is included in the packages?
Each package includes basic editing, which covers color correction, exposure adjustments, and light retouching. If you require more extensive edits, such as detailed retouching or special effects, we can provide that for an additional fee. For film packages, we provide high-quality scans of the developed film rolls with basic adjustments as needed.

7. What is the turnaround time for receiving my photos?
You will typically receive your edited images within 2-4 weeks after the session. If you’ve opted for the Film Package Add-On, please allow an additional 1-2 weeks for film processing and scanning.

8. What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the shoot?
If inclement weather prevents an outdoor session from going forward, we will reschedule at no additional cost. We’ll work with you to find a new date that fits your schedule. Please read our disclaimers for more information.

9. Do you require a deposit to book a session?
Yes, we require a 50% deposit to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due on the day of the session. This ensures your time slot is reserved and allows us to begin planning your shoot.

10. How should I prepare for my photography session?
For portraits, we recommend choosing clothing that reflects your personal style and the mood you want to capture. For outdoor and adventure sessions, dress comfortably and be prepared for the elements. If you’re unsure, we can provide tips during your consultation to ensure you’re camera-ready.

11. Do you photograph large groups or corporate events?
Yes, we offer commercial packages and event photography services for corporate clients, parties, and other gatherings. Please contact us directly to discuss your specific needs and we’ll customize a package that suits your event.

12. How can I book a session?
You can book a session by reaching out through our contact page or purchasing one of our packages directly here on the website. A deposit is required to secure your booking, and we recommend booking early, especially during peak seasons, to ensure availability.
